This study aims to highlight the historical dimension of the phenomenon of character assassination by examining Quranic examples in which prophets, companions, members of the Prophet’s household, scholars, and rulers were subjected to moral defamation through false accusations and slander. The researcher employed an inductive and analytical methodology by investigating religious texts and analyzing their implications to understand the mechanisms and impacts of character assassination on a psychological, social, and religious level. The importance of the study lies in uncovering the roots of this phenomenon in Islamic history and warning against its dangerous implications for the unity of the Muslim community and the integrity of belief. This research contributes to raising societal awareness about the necessity of preserving the dignity of religious and historical figures and upholding respect for scholars and leaders

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على البعد التاريخي لظاهرة اغتيال الشخصية، من خلال تتبع نماذج قرآنية تعرض فيها الأنبياء والرسل، والصحابة، وآل البيت، والعلماء، لمحاولات التشويه المعنوي عبر الإشاعات والاتهامات الكاذبة، وقد اعتمد الباحث المنهج الاستقرائي والتحليلي من خلال استقراء النصوص الدينية وتحليل دلالاتها لفهم أساليب اغتيال الشخصية وآثارها النفسية والاجتماعية والدينية، وتبرز أهمية الدراسة في الكشف عن جذور هذه الظاهرة في التاريخ الإسلامي، والتنبيه إلى خطورتها على وحدة الأمة وسلامة المعتقد. وتساهم هذه الدراسة في تعزيز الوعي المجتمعي بضرورة حفظ مكانة الرموز الدينية والتاريخية واحترام العلماء وولاة الأمور
