This study explores the concept of moral character assassination from an Islamic perspective by analyzing related terms such as rumor, defamation, verbal abuse, backbiting, and psychological warfare—tools often used to undermine reputations and distort individual images. The research examines both the linguistic and technical dimensions of these terms, presenting the Islamic legal stance and the social consequences of such actions. It concludes that these behaviors are strictly prohibited in Islamic law due to the harm they inflict on individuals and society, and it highlights their connection to modern psychological warfare tactics aimed at weakening an individual’s morale and social standing
تتناول هذه الدراسة مفهوم اغتيال الشخصية المعنوي من منظور إسلامي، من خلال تحليل المصطلحات ذات الصلة كالإشاعة، والتشهير، والتجريح، والغيبة، والحرب النفسية، والتي تُستخدم أدواتٍ لاغتيال سمعة الأفراد وتشويه صورتهم. يستعرض البحث الأبعاد اللغوية والاصطلاحية لهذه المصطلحات، ويبين موقف الشريعة الإسلامية منها، وأثرها في تمزيق النسيج المجتمعي وتهديد كرامة الإنسان. كما تؤكد الدراسة أن هذه الأفعال تُعدّ من المحرمات الشرعية لما فيها من انتهاك لحرمة المسلم وأذيته دون حق، وتبرز العلاقة الوثيقة بين هذه الأفعال ووسائل الحرب النفسية الحديثة، باعتبارها أساليب لزعزعة ثقة الإنسان بنفسه ومكانته الاجتماعية
